So i have been pretty tensed with all my wedding preparations. Starting off from the cards to the clothes to the decoration, makeup, venue booking. The list goes on and on! Planning your own big day can very exciting yet stressful. Having to cope with a full time job and multitask between work, family time and wedding preparations was tough!
To top it up, i am a perfectionist who wants perfection, with a limited budget. I like simple yet elegant looks. Imagine the hassle i had to go through! Scouting for cheap yet good products or services. I budgeted a certain amount of money for my temple wedding, church wedding, dinner, and house renovation. It was tough having to deal with so much with a limited budget and time frame. I reduced my expenses by limiting my number of guests to 500 pax. I did not order a huge variety of food spread. I ordered sufficient enough where people could enjoy. I printed my wedding cards for only RM1. I was only going to distribute those cards to relatives and elderly family friends. The rest will be receiving a digital card made through YouVivid. Even at Youvivid I tried to get a fee upgrade as I wanted to save as much cost as I could.
Instead of hiring a designer to create my ecard, I did it on my own as this platform is very user friendly and easy to use. It made my life so much easier and I could put off the worry of having to pay someone to design my card. Well, my fiance and I even took cheap pre-wedding shots which turned out well and I was able to also include some of those pictures in the e-card.
I’m still a month away form my big day and have completed most of the major bulk of preparation. I would admit it is a tough thing to do which incurs a lot of money for a one day event. However being in a society where we invite family and relatives to celebrate our joy and get their blessings, it is definitely worth spending and planning. Always remember to have a budget and work within your affordability. I’m now starting to feel excited about my big day and I really hope everything falls into place.
We have been dating for 2 years and decided to get married. She is a Roman Catholic while I was a Hindu. Both families got to a mutual agreement and we agreed to do both temple and a church wedding mass followed by a dinner. We got engaged on Sept 22 last year. This year is our wedding. We had to do a lot of running around as our families could not plan our things as our siblings worked and had their responsibilities too. It was tiring but definitely exciting doing things with my wife to be. She told me to create a digital card for the temple wedding ceremony just as what she did for the church wedding. Me being a little hesitant had to say yes and she introduced me to Youvivid. At first, I thought that it is going to be difficult. However as i played and designed the card i knew how easy and creative this website was. I showed her my work and she was impressed! We are still struggling with a lot of errands including the major part which is traveling to distribute wedding cards to relatives. However, some hassle has been cut down since we now have this digital card!
